If I could return I would.

Dig the post yo. I run a 24-hour courier svc in NY and I can definitely relate. Floatin thru midtown at midnight is spooky and exhilarating in a way that you just don’t get in the daylight hours. Most of Manhattan is usually bumpin round the clock, and it’s hard to find real silence (especially cuz my apt is in the LES) but there’s big pockets of Brooklyn and Queens where people turn in early, so when deliveries take me there at night I dig on how quiet it is.

Nice photos too, you captured the feel of night riding pretty spot on. They’re stark and bright but still with a certain warmth. Keep on riding!

Vanessa – I hope my review of the hat helped out. It seems pretty sturdy and I’m sure it will hold up fine. You may need to cinch the cord a little and deal with the dent in your forehead. The damn thing stays on in some fierce wind.

I’ll stop by your camp to see how the purple hat looks. Or, conversely, come to Media Mecca and see how the off-white (sand?) one looks.

The theme camps and I think villages are assigned places, but the solo campers like me sort of camp where we see fit.

Hey Brian! I did get your message, thanks it was super thoughtful and calmed some of my anxieties for the burn. Luckily, I have had my ticket for months, but I’m still last minute survival gear shopping! In fact I was looking for “sun hats” and I came across your “customer review” on Amazon! Anyways I did go ahead a purchase a purple “OR solar hat” I’m not too worried if it doesn’t look like the picture, I know it will be destroyed in seconds regardless!
On another note do you know where you are camping? I’m w/ a large theme camp, mostly strangers, and we are @ 9:00 and Divorce. I guess from what I hear that a busy area that is close to the porta potties!
